Healing the thorn in the soul

A bespoke, relational medicine process for leaders, founders, visionaries, and seekers who have built meaningful lives — yet still sense that something essential remains lodged beneath the performance, the understanding, and the compensations.

Most psychedelic practitioners stand in one world: clinical or shamanic. Payam has spent twenty years learning to stand in both — holding Western therapeutic rigour and initiatory medicine work at the same time, without diluting either. This rare position is what allows the work to become safer, deeper, and more transformative.

Who comes here

You have done the work.
Something still remains.

I

High-performing people who feel the cost of how they got here

You have built something real and you operate at a high level. And underneath the performance there is something that has never been addressed — not for lack of trying, but because no approach has quite reached it.

II

People who have tried other approaches and found them insufficient

Therapy, coaching, meditation. Real progress in understanding what happened. And still: the same weight, the same pattern, the same part of you that does not shift no matter how clearly you can now describe it. Understanding is not the same as healing.

III

People who sense there is a root to what they are carrying

Not symptoms. Not stress. A thorn — the original wound from which the compensations, the protectors, and the patterns have all grown. You have felt it your whole life but perhaps could not name it. You have simply not known how to reach it. That is what this work is for.

The work

Not a protocol.
A living process.

The body holds what the mind
has spent years refusing to see.

This work is not for those seeking intensity, spectacle, escape, or spiritual performance. It is not for those looking to bypass responsibility, outsource healing, or use medicine as another form of consumption. It is for people willing to be honest, prepared, challenged, supported, and transformed.

Most approaches work with the mind’s understanding of the wound. This work listens for where the embodied wound still lives.

Parts work gives language to the mind-body (psyche). Psychedelic-somatic work gives the body’s intelligence room to complete what it could not complete at the time. Sacred medicines, held with care and restraint, can open what cannot always be reached from above alone.

Together, used gradually and with permission of the seeker’s system, they reach the deeply held challenges “The Thorns” — not to create a new version of yourself, but to help you return to the Essential-Self beneath the compensations and adaptations that formed to adapt and that no longer serve you.

The part of you that never needed to perform in order to exist. The part of you that can live with presence, conscience, embodiment, humility, love, discernment, and soul.

The Process

Unhurried.
From first contact to ongoing life.

Founder & Principal Facilitator

Hollowed
by the work itself

Payam’s work does not come from protocol alone. It comes from more than twenty years of formation across Western therapeutic models, somatic work, ceremonial medicine, and initiation.

“Is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?”

He does not stand outside the process describing it. He has crossed the terrain in his own body and learned to recognize the difference between revelation and overwhelm, protection and resistance, dissociation and surrender, intensity and true opening.

His work is not a clinical treatment model and does not attempt to replace one. It is a relational medicine process for the terrain where insight, diagnosis, and technique are no longer enough — where the body, psyche, and soul must be met together.

Over time, therapists, psychiatrists, physicians, and facilitators have come to trust his discernment. Some refer people to him when conventional treatment has reached its ceiling. Others consult him on how to bring this work into their own practice, or seek him out for mentorship in cases beyond their experience.

His work lives at the meeting point of psychological insight, somatic intelligence, ceremonial medicine, and spiritual discernment.

How to reach Payam

This work is offered
by introduction only

There is no intake form. There is no waitlist in the conventional sense. If someone whose judgment you trust has sent you here, reach out. A brief conversation will tell us both whether this is the right moment and the right fit.

from the work

"The generations ahead of me, who I will never meet, will be free because of what we are doing now. That is enough. I am planting trees in whose shade I will never sit.”
